The sculptor Willard Boepple has exhibited widely since the mid-seventies. His work is in the collections of the Metropolitan Museum of New York, the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, Storm King Art Center, The National Galleries of Botswana, of Kenya, The Fitz-William, and numerous other public and private collections world wide. One of America's most respected sculptors he is known as an artist's artist. Michael Fried writing in Art Forum of his November exhibition in New York wrote: "For a long time now, Boepple has been making work of tremendous distinction... all the pieces are strong, and the show as a whole is a knockout".

He has served on the faculties of Bennington College and The Boston Museum School and is the Chairman of the Triangle Artists' Workshop in New York. He lives and works in New York and frequently in the UK where he makes prints with Kip Gresham.
